Kualapuu Market opened for business in 1938 by Yun Kee Yuen. Today, third and fourth generation work together to manage and oversee day to day activities. One of a few remaining multi generation mom and pop stores in Hawaii, Kualapuu Market's slogan is a great description of what you can find there,

In 1980, YK Yuen’s grandson opened Molokai Wines ‘n Spirits in Kaunakakai town. What started as a convenience store is now a specialty store (thanks to Uncle Allen). At Molokai Wines ‘n Spirits the focus is on your beverage needs (wine, hard liquor, liqueur and beer) with a small selection of meats and cheese. Still following Kualapuu Market's slogan, “a little bit of everything…”.
